Summer Charity Concert, 10 July 2024
Christ Church, Bradford-on-Avon
At this special charity concert, we performed pieces by Elgar, Fauré, Mozart, Bruckner and more. Donations were welcomed for our supported charity, Soundabout, which offers a wide range of music-making activities to children and young people who have learning disabilities with complex support needs.
'Enlightenment' Concert, 18th May 2024

This year's Spring concert took place at Holy Trinity Church, in a programme featuring the Nelson Mass by Haydn, and the Solemn Vespers and Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola by Mozart. The solists were Emily Bradley (Soprano), Marie Elliot (Mezzo Soprano), Joshua Owen Mills (Tenor), Thomas Humphreys (Baritone), Rafael Todes (Violin) and Tom Beer (Viola).
Christmas Carol Concert, 8th December 2023
Holy Trinity Church, Bradford-on-Avon
This year's Christmas concert took place at Holy Trinity Church, Bradford-on-Avon, and included music by Vaughan-Williams, John Rutter and Morten Lauridsen, as well as a selection of favourite carols. The organist was Steven Hollas, the baritone solist was Shaun Holley, and the cello solist was Damian Knollys.
Mendelssohn's Elijah, 20th May 2023
Wiltshire Music Centre, Bradford-on-Avon
BoACS returned to the Wiltshire Music Centre for this performance of Mendelssohn's popular oratorio. Alan Burgess directed, with Maria Daneshvar, Marie Elliot, Edmund Hastings, Niall Hoskin and Harry Hampson-Giulbert as soloists.
Christmas Carol Concert, 9th December 2022

This festive concert featured music from Benjamin Britten's A Ceremony of Carols, a range of traditional and modern carols, and the premier of a new carol written specially for us. The harp soloist was Emily Mullins, and the organist was Steven Hollis.
Handel's Coronation Anthems, 15th and 16th October 2022
Holy Trinity Church, Bradford-on-Avon, and St Mary's Church, Steeple Ashton
The programme of Handel's four Coronation Anthems and an organ concerto played by soloist Peter King, organist emeritus at Bath Abbey, took place at Holy Trinity Church on 15th October, with a repeat performance at St Mary's Church, Steeple Ashton, on the 16th.
Rutter's Magnificat and Jenkins' Stabat Mater, 11th June 2022
Holy Trinity Church, Bradford-on-Avon
A memorable evening of dramatic music from two contemporary composers. The soloist in the Magnificat was Alicia Carroll, and in the Stabat Mater the soloists were Marie Elliott and Janie Bradfield. The orchestra was led by Hannah Simons. The concert was dedicated to the memory of George Champkin, a member of the choir who sadly died on 13th May 2022. He was a great supporter of the Choral Society and is very much missed by us all.
Christmas Carol Concert, 10th December 2021

As part of Bradford-on-Avon's Christmas Tree Festival, the choir sang two concerts, one at 6pm, the other at 8pm, each lasting an hour. The programme included choruses from Messiah by George Frideric Handel as well as a range of carols. We were especially excited to perform a new composition by one of our own members: a special arrangement of Silent Night.
Samson, 23rd October 2021
Holy Trinity Church, Bradford-on-Avon
The Choral Society gave a performance of Handel's oratorio Samson, the first live concert since the pandemic struck in 2020, and a welcome return to singing for an audience. The conductor was Alan Burgess and the orchestra was led by Maxim Del Mar. Soloists were Peter Davoren, Sebastian Field, Niall Hoskin, Alicia Caroll, Mike Entwisle, Stephanie Collishaw and Oliver Chubb.
